It is a front of springs that surfaces on both banks of the Sarantaporos River (Pyxaria springs to the north, Lutron Kavasilon springs to the south). At the southern surfacing of the springs, the facilities of Lutron Kavasilon have been created. The flow of the springs is subject to significant fluctuations. They are contact fault springs which were revealed after the vertical erosion of the limestone anticlinal structure by the Sarantaporos River. The springs are a manifestation of the geothermal field west of Konitsa.
