In the region of Tsepelovo, remnants of boulder fields from the last ice age can be found.
A mixture of sands and pebbles and large limestone fragments with rounded surfaces, which were carried away by the glacier and deposited on the slopes. These materials exhibit hydrophoria in their granular porosity and create temporary springs at their contact with the flysch substratum.
