The week of 5-9 October 2020
\ntargeted work visits took place by an interdisciplinary team
\nskilled executives from various bodies in key positions within the Vikos Geopark
\nin order to record and analyse data for the development of a highly complex
\nEducational materials for the Vikos-Aoos Geopark. <\/p>\n

Specifically, on Wednesday 7\/10 the
\nThe working group carried out the route \u00abVitsa - Skala Vitsas - Kokkoris Bridge\u00bb.\u00bb
\nand on Thursday 8\/10 the route \u00abStone bridge of Kloidonia - Agioi Anargyroi
\non the Voidomatis\u00bb. We note that the first route is marked as
\ngeotrail, the second being a thematic interpretive trail of the Geopark.<\/p>\n

The Continent Development SA, at
\nwithin the framework of the programming contract with the Region of Epirus, it implements - among
\namong others - with the collaboration of the University of Ioannina, the development of a
\ncomprehensive special educational package for students on analysis and presentation
\nof the special characteristics of the Vikos-Aoos Geopark (geology, nature,
\n(culture). The ultimate goal is for this material to form a basic
\ntool in the hands of educators, on the one hand of the Environmental Education Centre
\n Konitsa and on the other hand, any
\na school in Greece wishes to visit the area in person or online
\nof the Geopark. <\/p>\n

Additionally, on the occasion of the inclusion - following
\nof the initiative of the Epirus Development SA - of the Konitsa Secondary School - the unique
\nJunior High School located within the Vikos-Aoos Geopark - in the Erasmus programme together
\nwith a partner school from Germany (Bad Berleburg High School) which is located in
\na naturally beautiful area (Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park),
\nA pilot implementation of its activities will take place shortly
\ntraining package in the field. <\/p>\n

The interdisciplinary team consisted
\nfrom Mr. Gavrilakis Konstantinos, Assistant Professor at the University of Ioannina (Laboratory
\nGeography and Environmental Education (Department of Education) with the
\nhis associates, as well as from Mr. Paschos Panagiotis, Dr. Geologist, from the
\nHellenic Geological and Mining Research Organisation, Mr. Philippos Karabinas
\nDirector of the Konitsa Environmental Education Centre and other executives of
\nFPC, Ms. Vanessa Boziou, teacher at Konitsa Secondary School, and Mr. Charitakis Papaioannou, Dr. Biologist
\nand Ms Georgia Kitsaki, Historian-Archaeologist MSc, from the Vikos Aoos Geopark Structure
\n(Epirus Development SA).<\/p>\n
