Programme <\/strong>Erasmus with the support of
\nVikos-Aoos Geopark: \u00abTwo schools from two different countries are collaborating\"
\nand they learn about their local environment\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Friday 02\/10\/2020, it received
\nThe country's inaugural online meeting of
\nproject proposal titled \u201cEnvironmental protection in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park and the Vikos-
\nAwoou\u00bb as part of the Erasmus programme. The project concerns an in-depth understanding of the natural
\nenvironment and the need to protect it in two areas of high
\nof environmental importance which for Greece is the Vikos-Aoos Geopark
\nFor Germany, the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park.
\nIn the project, the file for which was submitted last March and approved
\nIn September, two schools will participate, one from Greece and one from
\nGermany and specifically the Konitsa High School of the Municipality of the same name and the
\nBad Belenburg High School
\nin the municipality of Wittgenstein in South Westphalia. Both schools are located within
\nof the geopark or the nature park respectively. <\/p>\n

Two groups of students (one from each
\ncountry) will explore the values of their place and also of the other region, they will
\nwill see, will compare, will reflect and draw their own
\nConclusions on environmental management and protection (landscape,
\nbiodiversity, geodiversity, protection of rare fauna and flora species. <\/p>\n

The basic project parameter is
\ncollaboration both among the students and their teachers, but also among the
\ncollaborating support bodies for the drafting and implementation of the proposal
\nof the project: of the Development Continent SA as the managing body of the Geopark
\nVikos\u2013Ao\u00f6s and the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park management authority.  <\/p>\n

The approval of the proposal comes as
\nthe result of the close collaboration between the two above entities which began before
\na few years with the exchange of working visits to and from both
\nsides. In these missions, which aimed to explore the wider
\nareas of cooperation between the two sides, whose areas
\nfairly similar characteristics, specialised executives from the respective
\nentities and were implemented with the support of the Greek-German Assembly.<\/p>\n

To the online meeting of
\n2\/10\/2020 teachers from both schools (Konitsa High School and High School
\nBad Belenburg), executives of
\nHellenic Society for the Management and Development of the Vikos-Aoos Geopark and of the Management Body of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park and its representative
\nCPC Konitsa.<\/p>\n
