The Geopark
\nVikos-Aoos participated in the 43rd Meeting of the European Geoparks Network
\nUNESCO (43rd Coordination Committee meeting) held at the Geopark
\nThe Swabian Jura UNESCO Global Geopark, in Aalen, Germany (Stuttgart Region)
\nin the period from 25 to 29 March 2019. 
\nConstructive discussions, cooperation between Geopark representatives, presentations
\ntransnational programmes, thematic workshops, networking, visits to
\nGeotopes, very good organisation and hospitality from the hosts, composed
\nA very successful work meeting. <\/p>\n

\nAlongside this, the European Geoparks exhibition (Geo-Fair) also operated, which
\ntook place in the great exhibition hall of the Aalen Town Hall, where the
\nThe Vikos-Aoos UNESCO Global Geopark had a stand along with the other UNESCO Global Geoparks.
\nGreece and Cyprus.  <\/p>\n

 The European
\nGeoparks Network is one of the most active, creative and productive
\nnetworks. In the meeting on the Swabian Alb there was
\na unanimous declaration on the value, the
\neffectiveness and the excellent example of geoparks for sustainable
\nlocal development. We will all continue to work together for
\nthe further development of the network, deepening the open and transparent
\noperation of. We are proud of our legacy, our innovative
\nour approach to nature conservation and heritage management, the
\nour achievements and the concrete results in practice of our actual
\nEuropean cooperation.<\/p>\n

The UNESCO Global Geoparks in Europe will meet again in September in Seville and Spain's Sierra Norte Global Geopark.<\/p>\n
