An exhibition dedicated to Intangible Cultural Heritage, organised by the UNESCO Global Geoparks Working Group, will be hosted at the 8th International Conference on Global Geoparks, taking place in Adamello Brenta, Italy, from 8 to 14 September 2018.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will be dedicated to man-made stone objects, which will narrate the story of the use of stone and its connection with the geological heritage of each Geopark.<\/p>\n

The Vikos-Aoos Geopark will participate in the Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition with the donated item of Andreas Tefos from Konitsa, who comes from a family of stone craftsmen from the well-known Mastrochori (craftsmen's village) of Pigi, also known as Peklari, Konitsa.<\/p>\n

This is a miniature representing a threshing floor and a grain store located in the artist's birthplace. The miniature's stone is mainly sandstone and comes entirely from the site where the real building is located, thus ensuring the correct colour match and respect for history and tradition.<\/p>\n
