Event Organisation: Epirus Region: Destination\u2026 Culture<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Ioannina, 21 October 2014<\/u><\/strong>The Epirus Region<\/strong>, after its successful participation in Tourism Exhibition <\/strong>IFT<\/strong> in Belgrade <\/strong>and the successful Event in Tirana<\/strong> and to mark the completion of the project \u00ab<\/strong>Creating<\/strong>, <\/strong>implementing<\/strong> and<\/strong> promoting<\/strong> a<\/strong> network<\/strong> of<\/strong> Thematic<\/strong> and<\/strong> Alternative<\/strong> tourism<\/strong> and<\/strong> developing<\/strong> interpretative<\/strong> routes<\/strong>\u201d with the acronym: \u201c<\/strong>No<\/strong>. <\/strong>T<\/strong>. <\/strong>Routes<\/strong>\u201d, which is co-funded by the EU, is organising an event in Ioannina, <\/strong>the Wednesday 22 October 2014, , <\/strong>in the hall \u00abEuterpe\u00bb <\/strong>of the hotel \u00abDu Lac.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event will be addressed by The Regional Governor of Epirus, Mr. Alexandros Kachrimanis, the Mayor<\/strong> Vassilios Spyrou of Zagori<\/strong> and The Governor of Albania Mr<\/strong>. Zamira<\/strong> Rami<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Project partners, regional tourism stakeholders, and productive actors will discuss the project's dimensions in Greece in relation to alternative and thematic tourism, as well as the necessary prerequisites for Epirus's tourism development.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The aim of the event is Presentation of the project's aims and results <\/strong>to the general public, but also the exchange of experiences, knowledge transfer and the development of skills and collaborations. The main concern is to promote and highlight the rich cultural and environmental heritage <\/strong>the municipalities of Konitsa, Zagori and Pogoni in Greece, and the municipalities of Petran, Lunxheri and Pogon in Albania.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Region of Epirus invites you to discover it, walk across its stone bridges, wander its pathways in the Geopark and Vikos-Aoos National Park, visit its museums and monasteries, and savour its local produce, because it is a destination of culture and tourism.<\/p>\n

The project is co-financed by the EU as part of the implementation of Cross-Border Cooperation Programme \u00abGreece \u2013 Albania\u00bb 2007-2013<\/strong> and aims to create a stable network thematic and alternative tourism in the cross-border region of Greece \u2013 Albania<\/strong>Tattoo<\/strong> Network<\/strong>)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
